To celebrate the Lina system's continued success, dCS just released the brand-new silver edition! This means you can now choose from either a silver or black finish when purchasing individual Lina components or the full Hi-Fi system. Each Lina component (the Network DAC, Master Clock, and Headphone Amplifier) is built with an aluminum chassis. The casework is milled to precision from solid billets and then painted to provide a smooth, durable, and tactile finish.

The painted finish on the silver Lina Network DAC, Master Clock, and Headphone Amplifier is an exact match with the anodized finish seen on the silver Vivaldi, Rossini, and Bartók components. The Lina Network Streaming DAC is both a continuation and a new beginning. Its design combines renowned dCS technologies with new innovations developed for headphone listeners - resulting in a bold new interpretation of the dCS experience, and a complete reimaging of form and function.

With the Lina Network Streaming DAC, dCS took their core playback technologies, including the dCS Ring DAC and Digital Processing Platform, and added new innovations developed for headphone listeners. These include dCS's first ever touch-screen display, a streamlined user interface for easier navigation, and a powerful flex-ridged circuit board, which allows us to deliver all of the features you’d expect from a dCS DAC in a much smaller chassis.

Enhanced optimisation

Available to all Lina Network DAC owners, dCS Expanse is a unique headphone processing platform which offers an enhanced version of crossfeed optimisation. With its unique multi-stage processing method, Expanse optimises audio while preserving the reverberation in a recording (something that is crucial to helping us localise sounds, and establish a sense of space and depth.) Accessed via two optional settings, it can provide a heightened sense of realism when listening to a wide range of stereo recordings.
