Silver Dragon Digital Cable
The Silver Dragon V1 Digital Cable is a pure silver 75ohm digital cable perfect for both audio and video applications.
It is an all silver designed 75ohm digital cable. A characteristic impedance of 75 ohms makes this a perfect match for digital audio and video.
The Silver Dragon Digital cable will provide plenty of detail and an open presentation. It will provide a more cohesive sound with very fast attack and tight bass. This cable is by no means bright but also not warm. It will provide you with the best digital transmission possible for your digital gear.
The Silver Dragon is fairly flexible and makes bends fairly easily. Make sure to never kink a digital cable as it will introduce jitter.
We are using the WBT Nextgen Pure Silver 0102AG connector. Contacts utilize passivated pure fine silver. The body is constructed with brass and then platinum plated to give a nice aesthetic appeal. The central contact assembly is made of Ultramid® and the negative contact uses Dyneon™. The barrel is comprised of brass with a shiny black piano lacquer finish. The Silver Dragon can also be fitted with Furutech BNC Rhodium over Silver plate BNCs.
The center conductor is a 99.998% Ultra Pure Silver 22 AWG Solid Core conductor. Wrapped around the center conductor is a solid FPE center core, this is one of the best dielectrics used. For shielding, the core is first wrapped in a 100% Pure copper foil shield, followed by a silver-plated copper 100% coverage braided jacket. Then a layer of Teflon tape followed by a secondary silver plated copper 100% coverage braided jacket. Finally, an outer jacket is then covered in Techflex for good looks.
The connector is treated with Caig Labs ProGold Conditioning Treatment to keep the silver from oxidizing and providing the best contact possible. I recommend cleaning your connectors once a year no matter what the plating of the connector is. It will help keep the sound quality at an optimum.

Dragon cables. My experience with Moon has been excellent in each transaction. I recently purchased
a pair of SD BNC cables for my Chord Dave and m-scaler. The improvement was dramatic compared to
another aftermarket BNC cable set (I had already replaced the OEM cables). I strongly recommend the
SD BNC cable to connect a Chord Dave and m-scaler. Rob Watts (designer of the Dave & m-scaler) has
confirmed that the length of the BNC cables is important and he suggests 1.5m - 2m BNC cables if your
system allows. The Silver Dragon BNC cables are awesome for the m-scaler to Chord Dac (DAVE, TT2,
Qutest) interconnection and Moon audio is a great partner with Made in the USA ultra high quality cables.

In addition to the Moon Cable I ordered a WW Platinum 7 2M BNC-BNC cable as well with the intention of keeping the one I preferred.
After a week in my system it's just not even close. The Silver Dragon runs circles around its 6 times more expensive competitor. I couldn't believe it. I love WW cables and my audio gear is rigged with mostly moon, WW and Audioquest cabling.
On the Silver Dragon :
The bass is tight, well extended and clean, clarity of the highs and vocals is off the charts and the midrange is just perfect... it blends seemlessly with the highs and lows.
The imaging and instrument separation is off the charts good on this cable. and the bass has slam but without being boomy or bloated. The PRaT and Dynamics of the Siver Dragon is truly something to behold.
The WW cable is very good don't get me wrong, but the Silver Dragon beats it across the board. The bass is actually not all that well extended and a little loose sounding on the WW Platinum 7 BNC-BNC.
Best of all Moon actually gives you more wire. It's a thicker cable than its more expensive competitor/s. You get way more for your money. The connectors are nicer too.
The Silver Dragon is a STEAL at its price for the sound quality and build quality.
Great Service as usual from Drew and his team.
Save your money and just buy the Silver Dragon!!
To say I am floored with the improvement would be an understatement! The sound coming out of my system now is literally mesmerizing. The level of musicality has now reached a point that I did not think was possible.
It is actually quite inconvenient, since I do a lot of work from home, and usually like to have music in the background while I work. Things now sound so good and so lifelike, I find it impossible to focus on my work.
My mind just keeps drifting as I'm carried away in the miraculous sound issuing forth from my system, and long periods of time pass without my noticing that I have ceased working and am just listening and enjoying the music, no longer performing any kind of analysis.
Thanks for such a phenomenal product!
In my view, the silver dragon digital cable compares very favourably with the other coax cable I had tried - a Chord Anthem Digital Tuned ARAY (that's the other "Chord" company) - at a reasonable price advantage.
Drew's products give absolutely nothing away in the quality of their construction to any other cable I have used. I have also found that in use, the bass is tight and the top end is detailed without the slight harsh treble which sometimes creeps into my system.
I have purchased several other cables from Drew and always find him and Moon Audio a pleasure to deal with - even though I am on the other side of the world!.
The cable is beautifully made, and I'm especially impressed by the quality of the connectors, a WBT Nextgen RCA on one end and a Furutech BNC on the other.
I'm very pleased with the sound quality as well. The improvement in bass, both quality and power, made me realize my speakers are even better than I thought. I'm equally happy with the smooth, grain-free high end and the top-to-bottom transparency. I feel like I'm getting analogue-like detail out of even 16/44 digital files.
Best of all, I have the satisfaction of doing business with real people at a real American small business. There's no better way to spend my money.
