Bronze Dragon Premium Interconnects

My previous experience with Silver and Black Dragon headphone cables led me to the Bronze Dragon. They replaced a copper cable nearly three times the cost which I moved to a different connection in my system. I'm running the Bronze between my classic ARC Reference CD8 player and Pass Labs XP22 Preamp. Couldn't be happier. Bass has improved and surprisingly, so has image and depth. Recommended. Only shortcoming is the missing ID marking between left and right cables unless I'm missing something.

Purchased a redbook player from Moon Audio and they included a free pair of their Blue Dragon XLR interconnects. Was using Audioquest cables at the time so I set them aside. Later I was changing equipment and decided to give the Blue Dragon's a try. I was so impressed with how they opened up the soundstage that I ordered a pair of Black Dragon. Again there was a bump in detail and an expanded soundstage. At that point I was hooked and replaced the Audioquest connects between my McIntosh processor and McIntosh amp. Not only was there another bump in music, but now my 4k movies also benefited with clearer vocals and a more dynamic soundstage. My final upgrade was to replace the redbook Black Dragon with a pair of Bronze Dragon. The result improved the finer details and tamed the brightness I often heard through my speakers on some music. I've read all the Snake Oil stories of how cables are just wire and cable is cable. My experience says different and in my opinion depending on your system both the Black and Bronze Dragon interconnects can make a difference at a reasonable price.Moon Audio sales and follow-up have been top notch and I would order from them again in the future.

I've had the Bronze Dragon interconnects for the last 4 months, so I believe it's a good moment to do them justice and write this review after the burn-in period is completed and I feel more comfortable providing an opinion of the product rather than offering simple first impressions.I've been using two sets of cables: one pair with XLR connectors and the other with RCA, pairing my Chord Dave + M Scaler with a Woo Audio WA23-Luna and an Ampsandsound Agartha. The headphones used for this review are the LCD-5, Susvara, HD-6xx, ZMF VO, ZMF Atrium, and ZMF Aeolus.Sound: These cables didn't evolve much from the first session to the completion of the burn-in period. That is not a bad thing by any means—they were excellent from the very beginning. One of the best traits of these interconnects is their ability to present potent dynamic swings and fast transients, a quality I have previously experienced only in higher-priced products. They also offer a very transparent sound that doesn't accentuate any particular octave, providing a refined balance across the entire frequency response. They deliver separation, imaging, and soundstage as large as your equipment is capable of producing, allowing the connected equipment to show its own character without ever feeling like the interconnects are a limiting factor.Build Quality: The cables look elegant, and the materials are nicely selected. Being very satisfied after having upgraded to the Black Dragon headphone cable (v2) for my Susvara I decided to try the Bronze Dragon interconnects. My previous interconnects were from AudioQuest, sold for almost double the price. I ideally wanted to add some additional warmth and musicality to my system without losing the transparency and soundstage that I had. I expected that this might be a sidegrade (at best) but after 40 hours of burn-in I am absolutely amazed. I feel like I have finally dialed in the tonality of my system (warmer, more musical) while also improving timbre, transparency, soundstage size and imaging significantly. Can absolutely recommend!
