The 64 Audio Fourté features a hybrid driver design with one dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers. What makes the Fourté truly special is the placement of its drivers, sitting in their own space in micro-acoustic chambers free of tubes. Traditionally IEMs require balanced armature drivers to be fitted on a vinyl tube which can negatively color the raw sound of the drivers. 64 Audio created a proprietary driver system called Tia—Tubeless In-Ear Audio—that reduces unwanted resonance and distortion for a transparent, lifelike sound signature. The Tia system is comprised of three elements: open-balanced armature Tia drivers, the Tia single-bore design, and Tia acoustic chambers. The Tia driver is positioned at the mouth of the sound bore, allowing it to radiate directly into the ear canal. This open architecture allows the sound from all drivers to mix more naturally before reaching the ear, creating a more extended and natural high-frequency response. To optimize the driver's performance, the Tia system uses specially designed acoustic chambers that create a sense of airiness and space in the treble region. The Tia system is regarded for its ability to produce a more open, natural, and detailed sound compared to traditional tubed IEMs.

Apex—Air Pressure Exchange—is a patented vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal while still retaining standard IEM levels of isolation. The Apex technology allows users to listen more comfortably for longer periods of time. The venting alleviates listener fatigue and allows for a more realistic soundstage. Apex is integrated into the Fourté IEMs down to the way the shell is milled, offering similar pressure release and isolation to the 64 Audio's m20 module. Going down the list of groundbreaking technology in the Fourté is a passive radiator. This membrane sitting between the shell and the faceplate is passively excited by the vibrations of the drivers within the shell, increasing the unique width of the Fourté's soundstage.
