Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.
Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Silver Dragon Sound Signature
The Silver Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to maximize the amount of detail, clarity, air, and instrument separation you get from your music. Silver strands increase the soundstage, clarify instrument separation, and find previously lost high and mid-frequency sounds. Transients appear more cohesive, and the bass is tighter for a more controlled sound.
The Silver Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Jazz, Americana, and other music with lots of nuance and instrumentation. That being said, the Silver Dragon can be paired with many other genres as well. If you are a self-proclaimed "detail freak" who loves critical listening, the Silver Dragon will be your cable of choice. It will open up the top-end and add an extra layer of air or resolution. It will tighten up and control the bass. It will add energy and excitement to the performance.
FitEar Connectors
This cable uses a proprietary 2-pin connector designed for FitEar in-ear monitors. It is compatible with FitEar custom and universal IEMs, including the Aya, MH334, MH335DW, Parterre, and many more.

Cable Design
This cable is a coaxial design utilizing a 99.99998% UP-OCC stranded silver 26AWG center conductor for the positive leg. The center conductor uses the same Kevlar reinforcing as the other Dragon cables. The center conductor is wrapped concentrically by a 99.99998% UP-OCC silver-plated single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper stranded 26AWG gauge conductor with 7N purity 99.99998%. The left and right signal cables run parallel to each other, resulting in a very low inductance. Both signal jackets are polyethylene, and the cable is extremely flexible yet very resilient and resistant to flex failure.
This cable can be used with a variety of different connectors, both balanced and unbalanced, such as a 3.5mm TRS Mini plug, 2.5mm TRRS Balanced Plug, or 4.4mm TRRRS Balanced Plug. As always, we custom-build this cable in-house using high-quality Cardas silver solder.
What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single-crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference, and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find that this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.
Connecting the Silver Dragon IEM Cable
- Red: Right Channel
- Blue: Left Channel
- Dots should always point up
With the red dot facing upward, slide the connector straight into the right IEM until flush with the shell. Repeat with the blue dot and the left IEM.

Great sounding cable and that to me is before anything else. The cables looks ok, not bad not great, the only complaint I have is the feel of the cable, it feels like I have to be very careful with it, not because it feels flimsy but because of it design and the was it behaves when it is twisted!Once again it sounds beautiful, lots of detail, don’t feel like it took power and punch off the base, it just made it tighter more control and detailed but still has lots of punch. The cable is not bright at all as well and midrange is beautiful. Very natural sounding cable. Using it with my Fitear Parterre !!

WOW! My new portable setup is- 2012 iPod Classic Cypher Labs Solo- dB DAC ALO Mk3b+ amp FitEar TOGO 334 IEMs. I go for immediate cable upgrades if I can afford them or wait until I can. My goal was to run everything balanced since the Solo-dB and Mk3b+ allow you to do that along with an upgrade to the cable on the 334 IEMs with a balanced termination. The only problem was that even though I upgraded my rig with a balanced Silver Dragon IEM cable to connect the Solo and Mk3 (same Silver Dragon cable that is used for the IEMs) I had upgraded my 334 IEMs with another high end brand's cable. I was not satisfied at all. The instrument separation seemed to be way off and a bit squashed and the soundstage was not open or large at all. I was beginning to think that I would prefer the setup single ended. Well I read what Jerry Harvey has said about the Silver Dragon IEM cables on this site but was a little hesitant given that I had spent even more than the $185 I would be plunking down for the Silver Dragon IEM for FitEar cable but I ordered them anyway just hoping that they would be a part of if not THE solution to my problems. I had planned on a few A/B tests on some very well recorded and mastered tunes when the Silver Dragon cable arrived. I never had to A/B test once they arrived (even though I did just to believe what I was hearing). The Silver Dragon cable with a balanced termination was love at first hear! The instruments were all where they were supposed to sit in…
