The Silver Dragon IEM Headphone Adapter Cable V1 is an extension or adapter cable to go with your main Silver Dragon V1 IEM Headphone cable if extra length is needed or you need to change terminations on the amplifier end. Adapter cables make it more versatile to do quick changes from one connection type to another. More and more connection types are becoming available, thus making this a great solution for hifi enthusiasts or "on the go" portable listening.

The shortest we can make an XLR-based cable is 1.5 feet.
The shortest we can make a 1/4" cable is 1.0 feet.

Quality You Can Trust
Most stock cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors with poor geometries, rubber jackets, and other issues that can limit the performance of your equipment.
Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Silver Dragon Sound Signature
The Silver Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to maximize the amount of detail, clarity, air, and instrument separation you get from your music. Silver strands increase the soundstage, clarify instrument separation, and find previously lost high and mid-frequency sounds. Transients appear more cohesive, and the bass is tighter for a more controlled sound.
The Silver Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Jazz, Americana, and other music with lots of nuance and instrumentation. That being said, the Silver Dragon can be paired with many other genres as well. If you are a self-proclaimed "detail freak" who loves critical listening, the Silver Dragon will be your cable of choice. It will open up the top-end and add an extra layer of air or resolution. It will tighten up and control the bass. It will add energy and excitement to the performance.
Cable Design
Like the Silver Dragon Headphone cable, we use the same coaxial design utilizing a 99.99998% UP-OCC Stranded Silver 26AWG center conductor for the positive leg. The center conductor uses the same Kevlar reinforcing as the other Dragon cables. The center conductor is wrapped concentrically by a 99.99998% UP-OCC silver-plated single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper stranded 26AWG gauge conductor with 7N purity 99.99998%. Now that is a mouthful :)
The left and right signal cables run parallel to each other, resulting in a very low inductance. Both signal jackets are polyethylene, and the cable is extremely flexible yet very resilient and resistant to flex failure.
A variety of connection options are available for your downstream connection, such as the mini plug, RCA, XLR, and many others.
We custom-build these in-house to your connection specification. The cable can be used in either a single-ended or balanced design. The wire is soldered to a connector using high-quality Cardas silver solder.
The picture shows the use of our adapter system that utilizes a Switchcraft Mini 4-pin Female or Male XLR. This connection point allows for adapters to be attached to provide either a balanced termination or a single-ended termination. When you have multitudes of devices, each with its own unique connection type, we recommend using the mini XLR as the terminus point. The pictures show, from top to bottom, a Furutech 1/4" TRS Gold Stereo plug, a Moon Audio 3.5mm TRS gold mini plug, an RSA or ALO balanced 4 pin connector, and an iBasso Hirose Balanced connection.

I now have three headphones using the IEM Silver Dragon cable terminated for this connection system. I have five of these connectors for various headphones 2 eight inch plugs 1 quarter inch for single ended listening and two balanced for the RSA SR-71B. I also have the Fostex HP-P1 to iPod connector and the SR-71B to iBasso DB2 connector. So you see that I really like this system. Love the IEM Silver Dragon wire's clarity and punch. The flexibly of this system is perfect for how I use my portable setups. The wire is not noisy and it is very flexible two key items on my must have list in any cable.

I wanted to use my HiFiMan RE-600 IEMs with my LH Labs XFi DAC / headphone amp but the headphones use a TRRS 1/8 balanced connection and the amp uses a 4-pin XLR! I searched all over for an out-of-the-box solution to no avail. Finally I stumbled across Moon Audio who offers a custom made cable using quality materials at a fair price so I ordered one. I received the adapter in only a few days (shipped 2nd day air) and it looks great and performs well - quality all the way. Yes I would have hoped it might be less expensive but where else are you going to find custom made cables of this quality? If you need a great adapter cable for that out-of-the-ordinary headphone / amp combination this is a great solution.
