Black Dragon IEM V1 Cable (2 Pin)
Upgrade your 2-pin in-ear monitors with a Black Dragon IEM V1 Cable. The Black Dragon will open up your IEMs and let them breathe easier. The Black Dragon has a warmer sound signature than the Silver Dragon, providing a more musical presentation with added bottom-end weight. You get a fuller sound and a smoother top end without sacrificing detail. The Black Dragon is appropriate for most genres, but works especially well with Electronica, Dance, Pop, Rap, R&B, and other music where a big, bold presentation is desired..

Quality You Can Trust
Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.

All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Black Dragon Sound Signature
The Black Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to increase musicality and provide a warmer tonality with amazing bass performance. Copper strands increase the boldness by providing more slam and attack. It smooths out and provides a more romantic sound signature. A great way to get lost in the music.
The Black Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, and anything with a toe-tapping beat like EDM and Dance music. That being said, the Black Dragon can be paired with many other genres as well. If you love to get lost in the music and want to feel like you are at the performance, then this is the cable for you. 2-Pin Connections
This cable now includes 2 types of 2-pin connections. The first is for Custom & Universal IEMs that include memory wire for a 2-pin connection option. This is typically used for IEMs like JH Audio, Noble Audio, Empire Ears, and many others that utilize a cable that wraps around the ear.
The second option was specifically designed for the new Audeze IEMs. Such as Audeze iSine10, iSine20 & LCD-i4 with a 2-pin connection that offers a locking channel and no memory wire for a direct drop-down cable from the IEMs.
Cable Design
This cable features a coaxial design utilizing a 99.99998% UP-OCC stranded silver 26AWG center conductor for the positive leg. The center conductor uses Kevlar reinforcing and is wrapped concentrically by a 99.99998% UP-OCC silver-plated single crystallized UP-OCC pure copper-stranded 26AWG gauge conductor with 7N purity 99.99998%. The left and right signal cables run parallel to each other, resulting in a very low inductance. Both signal jackets are polyethylene, and the cable is extremely flexible yet very resilient and resistant to flex failure.
This cable can be used with a variety of different connectors, both balanced and unbalanced, such as a 3.5mm TRS Mini plug, 2.5mm TRRS Balanced Plug, or 4.4mm TRRRS Balanced Plug. As always, we custom-build this cable in-house using high-quality Cardas silver solder.
What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single-crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference, and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.
Connecting the Black Dragon IEM Cable
- Red: Right Channel
- Blue: Left Channel
- Dots should always point up
With the red dot facing upward, slide the connector straight into the right IEM until flush with the shell. Repeat with the blue dot and the left IEM.

Sound and construction quality live up to the excellent standard I have found in their other cables I’ve bought. Only wish that it was visually a bit more appealing. Maybe a small point but as robust as the cable is it looks somewhat like what cheap ear buds come with. Even a plain plastic jacket would look much better on a otherwise excellent premium cable.

This is my first balanced cable from Moon Audio. I have been using the aftermarket cable which I paid 300 USD for. I figured I wanted to upgrade to balanced with this cable. My god what a difference! The 300 USD I used before is not worth the price once you hear this Black dragon headphone cable. I hear nuances I didn't hear before. The cable is lush instrument separation is impressive to say the least and vocals are buttery with an inviting warm signature. At least that's what I hear. I cannot recommend this cable enough. It has really changed the music for me. I hear tunes that I didn't think very highly of before and I am very picky with which tunes I mostly listen to. Give this cable a chance you will not be disappointed! Thanks Drew for making such excellent products. You have a steady customer from now on.

Great upgrade I am pleased with the sound of my 1969 Ears with the black dragon the low end is much better and the music is very clear even coming from an IPhone through an Allen& Heath ZED 10fx.
