Black Dragon IEM V1 Cable for Sennheiser Earphones
Upgrade your Sennheiser in-ear monitors with a Black Dragon IEM V1 cable. The Black Dragon is great for adding bottom-end weight to your IEMs for a fuller-bodied sound. Copper conductors warm the bass and midrange tones and smooth out the upper frequencies without sacrificing detail. You'll get a more musical presentation with added soundstage depth. The Black Dragon is appropriate for most genres, but works especially well with Electronica, Dance, Pop, Rap, R&B, and other music where a big, bold presentation is desired.
Our Dragon IEM cables are designed to be lightweight and flexible for ease of use in professional or consumer applications. The Black Dragon IEM Cable for Sennheiser comes in one length: 48 inches. However, you may choose from many available amplifier connection options to customize your portable IEM setup. Throw out your stock cable and level up to a Dragon IEM cable. Quality You Can Trust
Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.

All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Black Dragon Sound Signature
The Black Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to increase musicality and provide a warmer tonality with amazing bass performance. Copper strands increase the boldness by providing more slam and attack. It smooths out and provides a more romantic sound signature. A great way to get lost in the music.
The Black Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, and anything with a toe-tapping beat like EDM and Dance music. That being said, the Black Dragon can be paired with many other genres as well. If you love to get lost in the music and want to feel like you are at the performance, then this is the cable for you. Sennheiser Connectors
This cable uses a proprietary 2-pin connector designed for Sennheiser in-ear monitors. It is compatible with IE 80, IE 60, and IE 8 IEMs.
Cable Design
The Black Dragon V1 IEM cable is a coaxial design using a 7N purity 99.99998% UP-OCC stranded copper 26AWG center conductor for the positive leg. The center conductor is wrapped concentrically by a 99.99998% UP-OCC pure copper stranded 26AWG gauge conductor with 7N purity 99.99998%, and it features Kevlar reinforcing. The left and right signal cables run parallel to each other, resulting in a very low inductance. Both signal jackets are polyethylene, and the cable is extremely flexible yet very resilient and resistant to flex failure.
This cable can be used with a variety of different connectors, both balanced and unbalanced, such as a 3.5mm TRS Mini plug, 2.5mm TRRS Balanced Plug, or 4.4mm TRRRS Balanced Plug. As always, we custom-build this cable in-house using high-quality Cardas silver solder.
Connecting Your Dragon IEM Cable
- Red: Right Channel
- Blue: Left Channel
- Dots should always point up
With the red dot facing upward, slide the connector straight into the right IEM until flush with the shell. Repeat with the blue dot and the left IEM.
What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single-crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference, and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find that this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.

Had these cables before with my IE80s for years. Sadly, they fell off my neck while on my bike and got destroyed by my front wheel. The Senns fared no better. Replaced the Senns and had to get the cables too. Sturdy, great sound, and the bendy ear holders are why. HIGHLY recommended.

Purchased a Silver Dragon IEM cable to replace the worn out (pin broken) OEM cable that came with my Sennheiser ie80s. Wow what a difference......significant improvements in all areas. I have a high end home system and would need to spend several thousand dollars for this level of sound improvement. This cable is very highly recommended.

DEFINITELY BUY THESE! But if you need more convincing here ya go: I was forced to replace my stock cable after I was playing a gig and noticed my sound was cutting in and out. Upon a quick inspection I realized the cable on the right ear had broken right in the area where it conforms around my ear - not good! So I did some research not wanting to go with another stock version and came across this beauty! I was honestly surprised to find something this level of quality for my old and trusty Triple Fi's. The build is very good quality incredibly durable around the ears and then I got the plug in the 90 degree option and it is made of very good quality as well. The best part: the sound is even better than it was and I LOVED the sound before! THANK YOU MOON AUDIO for this gift of technological and sound genius!
