The Bronze Dragon Portable cable is designed for listening on the go with headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM6, Sennheiser Momentum, and similar single entry connection headphones. The Bronze Dragon helps create a warmer presentation with bigger and fuller body, adding bottom end strength and muscle. Our new Dragon cable is musical without becoming lush or bloated and features a very flexible cable that's perfect for on-the-go applications.
Pushing the boundaries of audio cable performance, the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable uses a new process of adding Graphene to our UP-OCC copper strandings. Graphene is a single-atom-thick, 2-dimensional material composed of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice geometry. This unique material is 200 times stronger than steel but incredibly flexible without added weight, providing a more efficient transmission of electrical signals. It adds strength, flexibility, and conductivity to the metal it is bound with. The base of the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is composed of OCC copper–single-crystal continuous cast copper, or Ohno Continuous Cast. OCC is a manufacturing process that prevents any crystalline fractures or minimal grain boundaries, which essentially become potholes that the electrical signal must bypass.
The copper used in the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is devoid of all possible impurities that can change the coloration of the sound. Knowing that all materials have different coloration and the key to keeping the tonality consistent or slightly changing the coloration is to omit other metals or add other metals to the conductor stand, Graphene was the perfect choice. This not only improved the UP-OCC material but also changed the tonality of our Dragon UP-OCC conductor, delivering increased dynamics with a very musical flavor to the sound. The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable's sound is incredibly tight and controlled with a powerful bass response. After much R&D, we've successfully melded two tonalities into one cable, crafting a headphone cable with improved dynamics and maintained musicality–a hard feat to achieve.

Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.
Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.

The Bronze Dragon is dynamic, detailed, and musical. It leans on the warm side of neutral, but is anything but dry-sounding. The Bronze Dragon makes a bold statement with a clear presentation and authority.
The smooth, musical quality of the Bronze Dragon makes it a perfect fit for headphones that tend to sound a bit edgy or bright. Despite its warmth, the Bronze Dragon does not have a laid-back, lush sound, and is much closer to neutral, making it a very natural-sounding cable. As a flexible-sounding cable, it can match the sonic characteristics of your sound system.

The Bronze Dragon portable headphone cable has 8 x 99.99998% UP-OCC Stranded Copper conductors per cable. Created in the proportions, copper helps add warmth to expand and strengthen sound from bass guitars, cellos, and deep vocalists like Barry White.

What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra-Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material, but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.

Well, I wasn’t expecting this! Having used custom cables for many decades now I have found most offer improvements that only become apparent over time, and are most noticable when swapping back to the inferior cable later. I was even more surprised because I am using this in a portable system, with an A&K Kann Max and Focal Bathys, replacing another custom cable from a UK manufacturer. The sound stage immediately became more solid and expansive, with greater separation of voices and instruments. The cable revealed voices and layers of harmonies at the start of Lana Del Rey’s "The Grants" that I hadn’t heard before. Musica Aeterna’s Tchaikovsky’s Vi is an “in your face" close mic’ed explosion of strings and this cable had me jumping at the realism, space and detail. Adriane Lenker’s “Instrumentals” truly made me feel like I was inside her guitar in a log cabin in the woods, as she intended the recording to be.So, an astonishing upgrade which has me reaching for my ‘phones every day to rediscover my music collection.

Always good atbmoon. I have bought all of my cables there after making a few mistake buys of cheaper cables. The difference is night and day, worth the money if you can afford them. Well worth it, not a slight improvement, but a noticable improvement.
