After some time considering to put out the money. and see my ipod rig as geeks like myself are calling a couple of units together grow to a fair sized hand full. I took the plunge ( wife not happy ). The great thing with it is it constantly charges the ipod when switched on meaning when the time comes to charge this very sweet sounding handful you just have two cables to plug in. No removing iPod 30 pin to put power to iPod. The unit has a good finish and looks like it could take a good beating. Not that you would want to. It sounds great. I have had it for around six months. Setup is old iPod JH3a algo. In the time I have had this unit I don't think a day has gone by where I have not used it. It really changes the way you listen to music. You get great depth of sound. And now I can hardly hear the wife. Winning.

I stepped on the headphone plug of my 1971 Koss ESP-9 a couple of decades ago and decided to try to resurrect them this year. When I discovered that the big parts places don't stock that Amphenol line any more I thought they were dead forever. Then I discovered that the Stax connector might work and that Moon Audio had some. The backshell was shorter and there was no strain relief but the plug was a perfect match. I drilled it out a bit to accept the old strain relief and ended up with a good solid repair. Thanks for making these available.

Although the ripping speed is a bit slow (even if high speed is selected) the sound quality is amazing. The ripper looks and feels great. It's not cheap but I think it will become a collectror's item in the near future.

Instructions for loading with playlists was excellent and I had very little trouble. It did take a little while because I have a whole lot of songs but loading was no trouble.
