Ortofon
Features
Designed around Ortofon’s standardized terminal color coding:
Red is right channel hot and green is right channel ground.
White is left channel hot and blue is left channel ground.
Uses the green ground terminal to ground the cartridge housing or motor system when it’s connected inside the cartridge.
Ortofon recommends attaching the leadwires to both the cartridge and the headshell before mounting the cartridge, for a cleaner and simpler install.
The leadwires are sized to fit both 1.2 mm cartridge pins and 1.0 mm headshell pins.

The LH-6000 comes with lead wires for easy and convenient connection
All Ortofon cartridges have a color coding of the terminals, indicating red and green for the right channel, respectively, hot and ground terminals. White and blue for the left channel, respectively, hot and ground terminals. The green terminal will always be used for grounding the cartridge housing or motor system whenever connected inside the cartridge. We recommend connecting lead wires to the cartridge and headshell before mounting the cartridge on the headshell. Please remember the correct orientation of the leads. Ortofon cartridges' terminal PINs diameter is 1.2 mm, while Ortofon headshells' PINs diameter is only 1.0 mm.
