The Cayin CP6 is a portable CD player, digital transport, USB DAC, and Bluetooth transceiver all in one. It features a matched pair of Raytheon JAN6418 military-grade NOS (New Old Stock) tubes in a dual-channel Class A amplification circuit, letting you switch between three distinct sound signatures at the touch of a button.
Triple Timbre Switching Switch freely between Classic Tube Timbre, Modern Tube Timbre, and Solid-State Timbre — available across headphone output, line output, and Bluetooth — to match different headphones and listening preferences. A dedicated 22V low-noise power supply and DC filament design minimize noise and hum while preserving resolution.
Bidirectional Bluetooth 5.4 Powered by the Qualcomm QCC3083 chipset, the CP6 supports both Tx (transmit) and Rx (receive) modes:
- Bluetooth RX: SBC / AAC / aptX / aptX HD / aptX Adaptive / LDAC
- Bluetooth TX: SBC / aptX / aptX HD / aptX Adaptive

4-Channel Fully Discrete Balanced Headphone Amplifier Drives headphones from 8Ω–600Ω. The voltage amplification stage uses high-power transistors in a push-pull current architecture for strong current drive and precise control, even with low-impedance loads (8Ω/16Ω).

JAN6418 Tube Vibration Isolation System
- Physical damping: custom tube damping sleeve, shielding cover, and chassis suspension for multi-directional shock absorption
- Circuit stability: interstage feedback with local negative feedback stabilizes the multi-stage tube power supply and filament current
- The combined design effectively suppresses microphonic effects
16-Core XMOS XU316 USB Audio Platform Supports both UAC 2.0/1.0 modes for broad compatibility; driver-free plug-and-play on Windows/macOS/Android/Linux. Asynchronous transmission with a high-precision clock system reduces jitter and isolates computer-side noise.
Dual DAC Architecture Dual Cirrus Logic CS43198 32-bit/8-channel DACs operating in mono mode for fully parallel differential current output. Paired with dual OPA1612 I/V conversion and low-pass filtering stages for ultra-low distortion, low noise, and high linearity. Independent left/right channel operation improves channel separation and soundstage precision.
