This Bronze Dragon Portable Cable is designed specifically for the Sennheiser Momentum Headphones. The Bronze Dragon helps create a warmer presentation with bigger and fuller body, adding bottom end strength and muscle. Our new Dragon cable is musical without becoming lush or bloated and features a very flexible cable that's perfect for on-the-go applications.
The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is dynamic and musical, delivering an incredibly tight and controlled sound quality with a powerful bass response to your favorite headphones. The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is a culmination of 20 years of Moon Audio's desire to exceed the price-performance ratio, and a testament to our never-ending goal to continually produce HiFi Audio Cables that over-deliver on performance in the marketplace.
Pushing the boundaries of audio cable performance, the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable uses a new process of adding Graphene to our UP-OCC copper strandings. Graphene is a single-atom-thick, 2-dimensional material composed of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice geometry. This unique material is 200 times stronger than steel but incredibly flexible without added weight, providing a more efficient transmission of electrical signals. It adds strength, flexibility, and conductivity to the metal it is bound with. The base of the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is composed of OCC copper–single-crystal continuous cast copper, or Ohno Continuous Cast. OCC is a manufacturing process that prevents any crystalline fractures or minimal grain boundaries, which essentially become potholes that the electrical signal must bypass.
The copper used in the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is devoid of all possible impurities that can change the coloration of the sound. Knowing that all materials have different coloration and the key to keeping the tonality consistent or slightly changing the coloration is to omit other metals or add other metals to the conductor stand, Graphene was the perfect choice. This not only improved the UP-OCC material but also changed the tonality of our Dragon UP-OCC conductor, delivering increased dynamics with a very musical flavor to the sound. The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable's sound is incredibly tight and controlled with a powerful bass response. After much R&D, we've successfully melded two tonalities into one cable, crafting a headphone cable with improved dynamics and maintained musicality–a hard feat to achieve.

Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. Poor geometries, no shielding, rubber jackets, and a whole host of other issues in OEM cables can limit the performance of the headphone driver in terms of clarity and definition.
Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Bronze Dragon Sound Signature
The Bronze Dragon is dynamic, detailed, and musical. It leans on the warm side of neutral, but is anything but dry-sounding. The Bronze Dragon makes a bold statement with a clear presentation and authority.
The smooth, musical quality of the Bronze Dragon makes it a perfect fit for headphones that tend to sound a bit edgy or bright. Despite its warmth, the Bronze Dragon does not have a laid-back, lush sound, and is much closer to neutral, making it a very natural-sounding cable. As a flexible-sounding cable, it can match the sonic characteristics of your sound system.
Bronze Dragon Cable Design
The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is our latest edition to the Dragon Headphone Cable lineup. The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable is a new Graphene Copper conductor-based cable using 4 x 99.99998% GUP-OCC Stranded Graphene and Copper 24 AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors.
The conductors in the Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable are free from impurities and have virtually no crystal boundaries. With almost no distortion compared to ordinary copper conductors, each conductor is made up of a special, varying-sized stranded geometry. The Graphene Copper strandings are mixed with Kevlar strands to reinforce the conductor, making it stronger overall and less prone to failure due to the harsh, constant flexing that headphone cables experience.
The wire’s geometry, along with the Graphene, helps improve conductivity. At Moon Audio, we're always striving to improve conductor conductivity, which helps provide the purest signal transmission. Each conductor is encapsulated in a Teflon casing and then surrounded by cotton and a thin layer of aluminum foil. It is then protected by a 100% coverage braided tinned copper secondary shield and placed in a polyethylene jacket for further protection. The wire is soldered to a connector using high-quality Cardas silver solder.
A variety of connection options are available for your downstream connection. We custom build these in-house to your connection specifications. The Bronze Dragon Headphone Cable can be used in either a single-ended or balanced design.
What is UP-OCC?
UP-OCC stands for Ultra-Pure Ohno Continuous Casting (OCC). This is not a material, but a way of extruding silver and copper to prevent any impurities and fractures in the crystalline structure of the wire. The wire is drawn very slowly to cast as an almost perfect single crystal small-diameter conductor. The resulting purity and the size of the cast wire make a tremendous difference and there is less damage to the near-perfect cast state. We find this UP-OCC process produces a very clean and close to neutral sound in our copper-based and silver-based cables.

The Bronze Dragon Portable Cable is well made and is attractive in appearance. I am using it with a Sony NW ZX300. My initial impressions, after two days of listening to mainly baroque music, are that the Bronze Dragon has strikingly evened out the overall response across instrument types in comparison to the stock cable. The effect was immediately apparent and greatly enhances musicality. This cable also seems to have eliminated the slight listener fatigue that I had noticed with the stock cable. I strongly recommend this combination.

I've had the solo for a few days now and am very happy with it. I am coupled to the ALO V2 portable tube amp and still in the process of reviewing this set up thru my different cans problem is I can't take them off to review another because the solo has unlocked hidden details in each song and headphone. I can't put a favorite yet after auditioning this set up with Edtion 8 Senn 650 Heir czar 350 Senn Momentum Shure 500 or ATH-M50 each phone sounds incredible with rock rap jazz and country rock but the really great thing is it isn't possible to tell if the songs were recorded in1970 or 2012 which for those with years of aquired tastes won't be limited in sound signature . When I first plugged the solo into my rig I was somewhat disappointed but after a few hours it becomes apparent that the solo is a major upgrade and I feel validated by the purchase as will all music lovers !
