Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Black Dragon Sound Signature
The Black Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to increase musicality and provide a warmer tonality with amazing bass performance. Copper strands increase the boldness by providing more slam and attack. It smooths out and provides a more romantic sound signature. A great way to get lost in the music.
The Black Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, and anything with a toe-tapping beat like EDM and Dance music. Cable Design
The Black Dragon has been designed to complement our Silver line. We had many requests from our customers with systems where Silver wasn't an ideal fit, so we set out to make the best possible copper cables to fit their needs. The results exceeded our wildest dreams!In the Black Dragon you'll find an extremely smooth, transparent cable that's not too warm-sounding.
For years, our hearing tastes have driven us toward silver, never quite appreciating the sound of copper to the same degree. Now that has changed! We tried to build a cable with the great detail and presence of silver yet also provided the smooth, jazzy sound of copper. The Black Dragon V1 does just that. Only your ears can be the judge.
We took what we learned from the Silver Dragon Speaker cables, using just the right ratio of size stranding to optimize the sound. We ended up with a new geometry, using a special stranded grouping. The copper strandings are all 99.9999% high-quality, low crystalline structure, pure copper. Each Speaker Jumper Cable utilizes an 11awg conductor.
We recommend using these with our Black Dragon Speaker cables. While these come in a standard length, custom lengths can be produced to match your speakers needs. We continued to use Teflon coating to encapsulate the strandings, as it is the best dielectric. We then cover it in a protective layer of heatshrink and terminate in either a Cardas GRS U Stepped spade for both 1/4" (6mm) and 9mm spades, the GRS series Binding posts or Furutech FP-200B (R）Bananas.
