Dragon Cables are handcrafted from quality materials in Moon Audio's headquarters in Cary, North Carolina. All of our cables are created with ultra-pure, single-crystal silver and copper strands and engineered to provide the cleanest, most musical presentation. Our wire is void of impurities and crystalline boundaries, leaving nothing between you and your music.
Black Dragon Sound Signature
The Black Dragon is our top-of-the-line flagship cable designed to increase musicality and provide a warmer tonality with amazing bass performance. Copper strands increase the boldness by providing more slam and attack. It smooths out and provides a more romantic sound signature. A great way to get lost in the music.
The Black Dragon pairs well with all genres, especially Classical, Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, and anything with a toe-tapping beat like EDM and Dance music. Cable Design
It is an extremely smooth, transparent cable, yet not too warm-sounding. For years, our hearing tastes have always driven us in the direction of silver. We have never quite appreciated the sound of copper as much as silver. Well, that has now changed!
We tried to build a cable that gave the great detail and presence of silver, yet also provided me with the smooth, jazzy sound of copper. The Black Dragon V1 does just that. Only your ears can be the judge, and we hope you give them a try!
We took what we learned from the Silver Dragon Speaker cable, with which we developed just the right ratio of different-sized stranding to optimize the sound. We ended up with a new geometry using a special stranded grouping. The cable's four 11 AWG conductors are made from 99.9999%-purity, high-quality, low crystalline structure pure copper strandings.
Biwire Construction
The standard Black Dragon Speaker Cable features 2 terminations on either end, approximately 6 AWG. The biwire version features two 6 AWG terminations on the amp end and four 11 AWG terminations on the speaker end.
It is an internal Biwire design that will help cut costs for those of you who want to run Biwire. We continued to use Teflon coating, as it is an obvious best dielectric. We then cover it in a protective layer of Techflex and solder your connector of choice. As you can tell, our favorite connector of choice is the Cardas CCMS silver-plated billet copper spade. We can also do their new Solid Silver CCMS or GRS spade at an additional cost, plus we offer several other choices.

This isn't a bad speaker cable. Much thinner than I expected. I've got at least 100 hours on it by now. It may be slightly rolled off in the treble, but I can live with that. The bass is very tight, and the cables are quiet. They aren't quite as warm as described, but that's a good thing. like their ICs, what these cables excel at is their rock solid and rounded images and a DEEP soundstage. That's why I bought them.That's why I bought them.

Ok so I am finally moving into upgrading my cables. In this price range you have many many choices. That being said... I used my VERY positive feelings about the Silver Dragon Coax I just recently purchased to help make my decision on these speaker cables. I replaced a very nice pair of bi wire speaker cables that have served me well since I purchased them in 1995! So...how did these speaker cables do? Wow.. not even burned in and they were so good. Now after about 40 hrs of burn they are opened up nicely. Excellent bass and amazing highs...nicely built....bi wire is nicely done...all aspects are apparently crafted with care (as was the coax). I would def recommend these cables and Moon Audio for purchases.

Because we were remodeling I needed longer lengths of speaker wire. While I was satisfied with the Straightwire that I had for so many years I asked Drew's advice and this was his recommendation. He was right! This cabling imparts an amazing amount of air and tonality into the music and gets better with each use (I've only had it for a few weeks thus far). Bass ain't bad either and decay and harmonics are competitive with much more expensive wire. My highest recommendation.

These cables are as advertised. I have purchased several Dragon Cables and I have never been disappointed. Definitely the cable of choice for me.
