Silver Dragon

Analytical

Made up of 99.99998% UP-OCC stranded silver, our Silver Dragon conductors are free from impurities and have virtually no crystal boundaries. Silver is the most efficient electrical conductor with less resistance than other metals used in cables, like gold, zinc, and aluminum. High-purity silver conductors provide the most detailed and resolute sound signal possible. The sound signature of the Silver Dragon is detailed and analytical; instrumentation is clear and distinct, especially in the treble ranges. Bass frequencies are tighter and more controlled.

Bronze Dragon

Warm and Flexible

The Bronze Dragon is the newest addition to the family, designed to combat the thin, cold sound of older 2-pin IEMs. Also utilizing 99.99998% UP-OCC copper strands, it strengthens and expands the bottom-end instruments like the bass guitar and cello. The resulting sound is more musical without becoming lush or bloated. The warmth and fullness of the Bronze Dragon create the muscle needed to round out a flat or bright sound signature.

Black Dragon

Warm and Musical

Our Black Dragon cables feature 99.99998% UP-OCC copper* conductors and a warmer sound signature. It is a warm and fuller sounding cable which provides a small boost to bass frequencies. Lower end sounds have a bit more depth and resonance, but the detail isn't lost from the mid-range or upper end frequencies. When you want a bigger presentation the Black Dragon is more ideal.

*Black Dragon IEM V2 is the only exception and uses 15-18% silver plated copper conductors.

Neutral

Our value line, the Blue Dragon cables combine the best of both worlds. Made to the same exacting standards as the Silver Dragon but with UP-OCC copper, this stranded copper is a close second to silver in electrical conduction. It is a very natural and neutral sounding cable with the clarity of the Silver Dragon at a lower price point. The Blue Dragon is a good fit for improving dynamics without adding coloration. Its calm and neutral sound make it a great place to start with premium cables.

Find Your Signature Sound

Matching cables to gear is often a matter of personal preference. While one listener may prefer a more analytical sound signature, others might lean in the opposite direction. At Moon Audio, we ask the right questions to understand your ear and determine the cable that's right for you.

At Moon Audio, we identify the strengths and weaknesses of your gear, whether it's headphones, DACs, amps, speakers, you name it. We then determine which of our cable options plays to your equipment's strengths without altering their inherent character.

Case Study: Focal Utopia

Focal Utopia 2022 Headphones

Focal Utopia Headphones contain beryllium, a material that delivers exceptional sound transparency and clarity. Match them with our Silver Dragon cables and the result is forward and bright. So we go with Black Dragon Cables, which have a UPOCC copper conductor to smooth out the top end without sacrificing clarity. The sound is warm and full — the way we like it.

But that's just us. You might like a more analytical sound with hyper details, which is why we take the time to understand your listening needs.

Complement the Situation

What kind of music do you listen to? Warmer sound signatures are best suited for rock-n-roll and music focusing on instruments in the lower octave ranges. Classical music and other genres with a large range of instruments in the higher octaves lend themselves to a more analytical sound.

Listening at home? On the road? At the office? Your answer impacts our recommendation. After all, you don't want to lug a 100-pound amp around if you don't have to.

Make the Connection

Connectors are also a factor. Moon Audio offers industry-leading connector options, many of which you won't find anywhere else.
