Greatest Audio Geek Contest Terms
Judges from Moon Audio will use the Greatest Audio Geek Contest form to determine semi-finalists and award prizes.
Great Audio Geeks love discussing and sharing pictures of their high-end audio gear, favorite music, and new innovations. Great audio geeks travel in a tribe of the similarly-obsessed. They know their favorite albums, band, and musicians. Audio Geeks collect cherished musical stories such as seeing Miles Davis at the University of Pennsylvania or Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run Tour at the Paul Mellon Arts Center in 1976. Two of our favorite musical stories.
If Great Audio Geeks don't play music, they envy those who do. Audio geeks know instruments they wish they could play. If we could play piano like Chick Corea, guitar like Eric Clapton, vibes like Gary Burton, and bass like Flea, life would be good.
For most great audio geeks, their taste in audio gear exceeds their budget. They are never satisfied. Hearing something new in a favorite recording thanks to a new DAC or headphone leads to a desire to learn, discover, and experience more great sound.
Great audio geeks attend shows like the Rocky Mountain Audio Festival or the Montreal Audio Festival.
Great audio geeks read Stereophile and Absolute Sound, and they visit maker sites such as Moon-Audio.com, Chord Electronics, Audeze, and Astell & Kern. Great audio geeks probably have an account at Head-fi.org so they can read, debate, and learn. Just as the thirst for new gear is never fully quenched, great audio geeks can never know enough. Music and gear change quickly. Audio geeks are committed to lifelong learning.
Great audio geeks live on the higher end of the audio gear spectrum, but they may have cheap earbuds too. Everything has a purpose and proper use.
They know more about the whys, hows, and whos associated with great sound. They share their passions in easy-to-understand ways. Like monks, Great Audio Geeks look for ways to help others.
The Greatest Audio Geek Contest is a contest to discover and learn from fellow audio geeks. Moon Audio is also searching for a Business Development Director. If you are a great audio geek enter the contest. If you want your job and passion to align apply for the job.

Laws vary by state and country. We don’t know if you live in an area with special requirements or laws governing contests of skill. We want the Greatest Audio Geek Contest (CONTEST) to be a fun social engagement open to adults around the world, but CONTEST is void where similar contests are prohibited or taxed with regulations.
We must exclude Rhode Island because they require a specific contest filing. Not filing is a crime and we don’t want to go to jail in RI (or anywhere), so sorry RI residents but we bet you've been excluded before.
Chances of winning will be determined by the number and quality of entries. The CONTEST entry form is a way to get to know, admire, and interact with fellow audio geeks.
Prizes can only be shipped to an address within the United States. International winners of prizes will receive a Moon Audio gift certificate of equivalent value. Moon Audio reserves the right to change CONTEST rules when needed. A Contest Winner Waiver will be required before prizes are shipped.
All decisions are made at Moon Audio's discretion. In the unlikely event of a dispute, entrants agree to be present for arbitration in North Carolina and awards are limited to a $100 Moon Audio gift certificate.
Most CONTEST entrants won’t win a prize, but that doesn't mean we don’t admire, respect, and appreciate your music and audio gear. We hope sharing your audio gear is the first step in a long and rewarding relationship.
Contest entrants must be 21-years or older. Multiple entries do not increase chances of winning. Spamming or scripting votes during the Voting Period invalidate the entry.
