Grado GH2 Headphones
Sold Out & Discontinued.
The Grado GH2 Headphones are hand-crafted from Cocobolo, a rare tropical hardwood from Central America.
This beautifully colored wood is used in some of the finest acoustical guitars. Grado Labs chose this wood for the way it communicates music's beautiful harmonics. Rich and seductive in bringing you closer to your music.
The Grado GH2 is the second limited edition of our Heritage Series headphones with Cocolobo wood. Cocobolo wood is known for fine instruments, furniture, and chess sets that look too nice to touch. This wood is one of the most beautiful and tonally pleasing wood Grado has ever used. The first Grado headphones to be built from the cocobolo tree is our Heritage Series GH2.
With the GH2 as Grado's first Heritage Series pair of cans, Grado wanted to pay homage to their Brooklyn roots. The GH1 was built out of maple wood from a fallen tree just a few blocks from Grado's shop in Brooklyn, NY and it was the first headphone ever built from a Brooklyn tree.
While Grado's first headphone in this series focused on their hometown of sixty-four years, they wanted to venture further out for the GH2. Cocobolo wood originates from the rain forests of Central America, and its density is a primary reason why it produces such a unique sound.
Their limited editions let Grado experiment with different woods and designs, giving the opportunity to create a one of a kind Grado. As always, with every wood they use, they wouldn’t proceed if they didn’t feel its tonal ability was representative of the Grado signature sound. We’re extremely pleased to offer the cocobolo GH2 as one of the finest headphones ever built at Grado.
Try them for yourself today, you'll be thrilled!
