These Crosslink Speaker Cables are built in house by Moon Audio by hand, every day.  This is Cardas's entry level cable, but don't let that statement fool you.

This is a wonderful cable and it is in the same class as the DH Labs T14 speaker cable.

What is the difference you ask? It sounds different. The T14 has a more forward sound which Drew recommends if a system is too laid back and warm.

The Cardas Crosslink Speaker Cable is the opposite.

This is Cardas's entry level cable, but don't let that statement fool you. This is a wonderful cable and is in the same class as the DH LabsT14. The difference? It sounds different. The T14 has a more forward sound which I recommend if a system is too laid back and warm. The Cardas is the opposite. If you feel your system is too forward or you have a metal dome tweeter in your speaker that seems a bit harsh, then this cable can solve those issues for you. It is more neutral than the DH Labs T14, with an open sound that focuses on detail.

In Shotgun form, this makes an excellent passive sub cable. It has a low inductance and resistance and even high damping. The cable is very flexible and light weight. It is a Multi-gauge, Golden Section, and Constant Q conductors are used. The four conductors and cotton stranding are then wrapped in Teflon Tape. It has a flame retardant EEA and cotton for the dielectric, with pvc jacket, making it CL 2 rated. This means it makes an excellent in wall cable for home theater set ups.

Crosslink is the only cable by Cardas you can buy in bulk.

Crosslink is a classic that works so well for the price that it just doesn’t make sense to change it. Cardas has been making Crosslink for about 25 years. There are miles of it out there, installed in small to medium sized home stereos and multi-channel AV systems. Crosslink can also be found in professional applications, such as in PA & concert systems, and in competition level car audio installations.

Its CL2 rating makes Crosslink popular for custom home installations, as it can be run through walls without violating code.

Crosslink feature features four 14.5 AWG bare copper conductors. The bare copper makes it easy to prepare and use - no solder pot necessary. As with 101 Speaker, Crosslink can be terminated with connectors, or simply stripped, twisted, and inserted into a 5-way binding post or a spring-loaded speaker terminal. Also, like 101 Speaker, Crosslink is available finished by Cardas, or in bulk for DIY use.

Having four conductors makes Crosslink speaker very versatile. Pairs can be twisted together to increase AWG for a single-wire setup, or the four conductors can be split between lows & highs for a bi-wire speaker.

Crosslink conveys a well-balanced sound, without emphasizing the edginess of entry to mid-level systems, or imperfect digital source material.
