- The AlgoRhythm Solo supports S/PDIF transmit and receive at up to 192kHz. The S/PDIF transmitter uses a lookup table to encode the audio data with a biphase mark code. For each sample, it performs a lookup on a nibble, generating 8 bits of encoded data which it outputs to the port.

I have been using this product for some time now. I have combined it with a number of portable amps. I have to say that I have rarely used an Ipod with greater pleasure. I have heard this amp with a number of Ray Samuels amps and it does great. I love the sound of Ray's amps. I have also heard it with the AlO amps. I have to say that the best combination for me so far is the Cypher Labs with the IQube. The synergy is amazing. Drew sells both. Ask him to put them together in a combo. You will not be sorry!!!! The CLAS has received nearly universal praise as a high quality, high performance, ground breaking product. I completely agree with all of this. Addition of the CLAS has played a big role in my enjoyment of my LCD-3 cans, but let's face it. The CLAS can't be purchased at just any old big box store around the corner.Quality Price Value

I too have the Cypher Labs portable Dac. I have paired this Dac/Transport with an RSA 71A. I thought it sounds just great. I was listening to jazz today with this combo. The music was clear full, and had great presence.Quality Price Value
One of the best reasons that I liked this combination is that the house sound that RSA's amps are just great. With the Cyber Labs Dac/Transport, we are really approaching the sound of a high performance desk top headphone amp. The RSA has the power to drive virtually any amplifier. You can link the Cypher Labs to any other portable headphone amp that you prefer.

On Drew's recommendation, I went with the CLAS to pair up with my iPod 4G and SR-71B. No where near as "bulky" as I thought it would be (thanks, Drew) and basically makes "mobile" the same fidelity as in the desk top set-up in my home office. (Posted on 2/11/12)Quality Price Value
