Moon Audio Silver Dragon V1 Digital Cable

The Silver Dragon is an all silver designed 75ohm digital cable, which will work great for either audio or video connection needs. We are using the WBT Nextgen Pure Silver 0102AG connector. Contacts utilize passivated pure fine silver. The body is constructed with brass and then platinum plated to give a nice asthetic appeal. The central contact assembly is made of Ultramid® and the negative contact uses Dyneon™. The barrel is comprised of brass with a shiny black piano lacquer finish. A characteristic impedance of 75 ohms makes this a perfect match for digital audio and video. The Silver Dragon can also be fitted with Furutech BNC Rhodium over Silver plate BNCs.

The center conductor is a 99.998% Ultra Pure Silver 22 AWG Solid Core conductor. Wrapped around the center conductor is a solid FPE center core, this is one of the best dielectric used. For shielding, the core is first wrapped in a 100% Pure copper foil shield, followed by a silver plated copper 100% coverage braided jacket. Then a layer of Teflon tape followed by a secondary silver plated copper 100% coverage braided jacket. And of coarse an outer jacket that is then covered in Techflex for good looks. The connector is treated with Caig Labs ProGold Conditioning Treatment to keep the silver from oxidizing and providing the best contact possible. I recommend cleaning your connectors once a year no matter what the plating of the connector is.

The Silver Dragon Digital cable is fairly flexible and makes bends fairly easily. Make sure to never kink a digital cable as it will introduce jitter. It is always recommended with digital cables to use 1.5m or 4.5ft as a min length, but if shorter is required I would not worry about it. The Silver Dragon Digital cable will provide plenty of detail and an open presentation. It will provide a more cohesive sound with very fast attack and tight bass. This cable is by no means bright but also not warm. It will provide you with the best digital transmission posible for your digital gear.
