SinglePower Headphone Amps

Single Ended Dynamic Amplifiers

The PPX3-6CG7 starts at $795.00. This amplifier uses the 6CG7 tube type in all positions of the circuit. There are three versions of the circuit as well - starting at $885.00, $899.00, and $999.00

The Extreme starts at $999.00. This amplifier is a very powerful amplifier with a small foot print, and uses the 6SN7 (and complements) for input and the 6080 (and complements) for output. There are two additional versions of this circuit - starting at $1699.00, and $1899.00.

The MPX3 starts at $1095.00. This amplifier uses the 6SN7 (and all complements) in all positions and comes standard with dual switchable inputs and offers more customizable features than the previous two models. There are also two additional versions - starting at $1299.00, and $2249.00.

The Supra starts at $2499.00. This amplifier also uses the 6SN7 (and all complements) in all positions. This amplifier offers more finesse and detail orientation than the previous three models. As with the MPX3, this amplifier has a myriad of custom options available.

The Maestro ZR starts at $3495.00. This amplifier also uses the 6SN7 (complements as well) in all positions. The Maestro ZR was built with more pre-amp capability in mind. It comes standard with 4 selectable inputs, and three outputs (configurable individually as loop outs, or pre-amp outs).

PPX3

The implementation of our philosophy of an artistic design, visually appealing looks, brute force, and an audibly stunning experience begins with the PPX3.  It is the introduction to the SinglePower "house sound" that our amps are known for.  While the PPX3 represents our entry-level headphone amp, it does not in any way sound like your typical entry-level product.  The first time you hear the powerful, dynamic music it produces you'll agree!

For the PPX3 we chose to utilize 6CG7 tubes.  These are great sounding tubes that provide a nice, warm sound that is slightly more forward than the 6SN7.  As an added bonus the 6CG7 tubes are fairly inexpensive, thus providing a low-cost opportunity for experimenting with various available tubes.  Experimentation gives the owner the ability to get the exact sound they desire.  Want more bass, treble, a sweeter midrange, etc.?  If so, than by trying a few of the many 6CG7 tubes available you can find the exact sound you're looking to reproduce in your headphone system.

Warranty:  the PPX3 comes with a 36 month warranty covering parts and labor.

PPX3-6SN7

The PPX3-6SN7 takes the basic components and high quality construction of the standard PPX3 and adds the circuitry necessary to use 6SN7 tubes.  The choice to use the 6SN7 tubes is the first upgrade we make to improve upon our audibly stunning amplifier.  The 6SN7 tubes provide more open soundstage with more air around it, a slightly richer, fuller, and warmer sound than the 6CG7 used in the standard PPX3.  The 6SN7 tube is more widely available with more variations and options, which offers greater versatility when it comes to replacement tubes.

Warranty:  the PPX3 comes with a 36 month warranty covering parts and labor.

MPX3

 Review by EnjoyTheMusic.com

With the MPX3 we take our philosophy of an artistic design, visually appealing looks, brute force, and an audibly stunning experience to a whole new, and higher, level of refinement.  How?  Easy, starting with the MPX3 we implement the use of regulators in the power supply.  These devices ensure a very steady and stable supply of electricity, regardless of the demands the music presents to the amp.

The design of the MPX3 allows the listener to more readily hear the sound characteristics and traits of the tubes used.  This is accomplished through a combination of a very high degree of regulation and filtering, along with zero negative feedback and a large reservoir of stored electrical energy.  In other words, with the MPX3 you hear how your tubes affect your music, not how your amp or power supply affects it.  While the MPX3's sound is very powerful and dynamic, it is always under control.

Warranty:  the MPX3 comes with a 60 month warranty covering parts and labor

Supra

Due to its transparency, speed, and refinement, listening to our Supra headphone amp invokes feelings of awe and musical bliss.  Why is that?  Well, when it comes to the clarity, sound, and tone of an amp, the tubes themselves should play the most crucial role in how the amp sounds.  The amp and power supply should literally get out of the way and allow the sonic characteristics of each tube to be heard.  The Supra, due to its very transparent nature, allows you, with uncanny ability, to do just that.   You can install a set of tubes and really hear what that tube is fully capable of!  You will hear the signature sound of the tubes chosen, without the usual sonic signature of the amp or power supply added to or imposed on it.

In the Supra we once again take our philosophy of an artistic design, visually appealing looks, brute force, and an audibly stunning experience to another, and even higher, plateau.  The rock solid and highly stable power, when combined with the careful treatment of the audio signal, provide an experience that is at once refined, detailed, and gives a near absolute transparency.

The filtering and regulation of electricity done in the Supra's power supply merits special mention.  The incoming electricity enters through an 800v center tap transformer, is sent through a series of low ESR filter capacitors, than to the massive 3600μF reservoir capacitors, all before being regulated down to the 265 volts needed to power the tubes.  The large regulators we use keep the voltage supply to the tubes completely stable, even through the most aggressive transients and highest power demands the circuit could conceivably encounter.  Due to the amount and levels of filtration we use, the Supra's power supply will eliminate any and all noise coming from the supplied AC power.

Warranty:  the Supra comes with a 7 year warranty covering parts and labor.
