Symmetrica Line Array

Price / Kit (standard finish) $2850 / pair
Price / Assembled (standard crossover) $7,000 / pair

The Symmetrica Line array comprises of two lines of woofers (32 of them!) flanking eight ribbon tweeters which achieves a symmetrical radiation pattern and can move quite a bit of air. Sensitivity is also high, 98db with just one watt of input! A low wattage tube amp, like shown below at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, can easily drive these speakers. The Symmetrica has amazing transparence detail and speed. The speakers are available with out the internal crossovers for use with the DEQX Systems

Selah selected a "true" ribbon tweeter versus a planar tweeter for higher sensitivity and more extended horizontal off-axis response. The light ribbon element has exceptional transient response. The speakers require external subwoofer to reach the bottom octaves. Ask about the different sub options available. The subs can be custom built to be directly under the Symmetrica or separate for use in room corners.

Due to the driver spacing and the optimal crossover point the 3" cones cones make it all possible. Selah has designed a matching subwoofer that blends well with the higher crossover point needed for a small woofer. A deluxe outboard passive crossover is standard; however, we also can provide a fully-active DSP array with DEQX capability. We can also configure the speaker as a 16-ohm load for OTL and SET amps that favor a higher impedance
.

Julietta Line Array

Pricing includes DEQX calibration files. Free shipping in the continental USA.  $16,995 / pair

DSP Array

The Julietta array is unlike any other speaker in its' combination of exotic materials and superior performance drivers. We were commissioned to design an "over-the-top" speaker that would push the envelope. During the design stage we looked at various materials that had excellent sound characteristics and high aethestetic values.

The result is the latest technology available including Scan-Speak Illuminator midbass drivers, RAAL ribbon tweeters, and Seas woofers. The crossover is provided by a DEQX unit which enabled us to attain a performance level not possible with a passive crossover. Other DSP crossovers can be used as well and we can program your unit at our facility or in your listening room. Six channels of amplification are required for this 3-way design.

The upper section features a dipole section of eight woofers as seen here...

Carbon fiber rods extend the full length of the dipole section and are connected to bamboo plywood rings. The result is a very stiff, strong, and inert frame for mechanical stability and low coloration. Both the front and back side of the array section are laminated with carbon fiber over a baltic birch plywood core.

The array section is anchored by a Seas 10" subwoofer in a sealed cabinet. The woofer has a stiff aluminum cone and very low distortion motor designed with the help of the Klippel test system. The woofer is unique in that has very extended upper end response which is critical to optimal integration with the line array section.

The specifications for the response are dependent upon the DSP unit being used. With the DEQX unit we achieved 30hz-20K at +/-1db. Sensitivity is 88db and impedance 4 ohms. We can configure the system for a higher impedance if desired for OTL and SET owners.

S6

Price / Kit (standard crossover) $850/ pair no cabinets
Price / Assembled (standard crossover) $1295 to $1695 / pair

The S6 is a compact two-way monitor that we designed for a variety of applications. No matter where you place it the crossover is voiced to optimize the performance. This means it can be used in 2-channel systems as a high quality monitor or placed against the wall like a surround in a home theater system.

Assembled speakers

Because most of the cabinets are custom built to order we can offer a variety of real wood veneers. The cost will vary according to what species is selected; however, our pricing is very reasonable with a small upcharge for Rosewood, Bubinga, Pau Ferro, and other exotic veneers. To see what choices are available please visit www.certainlywood.com . They are known for providing very high quality products to cabinetmakers all around the world.

All standard cabinets are constructed from 3/4" MDF with 1" thick baffles and have additional bracing to minimize panel resonances. Our line array cabinets also utilize a multi-ply composite panel for their side and rear sections to create a strong and inert enclosure.

The vertical edges on the front of our custom cabinets are composed of solid hardwood chosen to match the particular veneer used. A radius is applied to lower cabinet diffraction and enhance the visual appeal of the speaker.

Our cabinets are sprayed with a conversion lacquer that has a low amount of V.O.C. and is thus more friendly to the environment. This medium gloss finish is durable and shows the natural beauty of the wood. We proudly manufacture the majority of our cabinets here in North Carolina, furniture capital of the USA! All speaker assembly is performed here as well.

Kits

All kits come standard with cabinet plans, assembled crossovers, drivers, 16awg stranded internal wiring, screws, damping material, gold-plated terminal cups, and foam gasket tape. Solen polypropylene capacitors, Eagle metal oxide resistors, and air core or 15awg steel laminate core inductors (woofers only) are supplied as crossover parts for the "standard" crossovers.

Mundorf, Mills, Goertz, and Clarity Cap components are used in the "deluxe" crossovers in critical circuit path locations. Every situation is different so we select the best components according to what's best for that particular design. If you have any specific requests we'll do our best to honor them.
Shipping

Prices include shipping for the lower 48 states in the USA. Other locations quoted upon request. Assembled speakers and kits are usually shipped via UPS (USPS for international shipments where possible). The larger assembled systems (Alexandrite, XT8, RS8, RC5, and RC4 ) are shipped by truck (USA/Canada) or ocean freight to other countries.

Where possible we use recycled packing materials and all assembled speakers are double-boxed or crated to make sure that your order arrives safely.

Payment

You can order via personal check, cashier's check, or money order. We also accept bank drafts, and direct deposits via www.paypal.com . All payments are to be made in U.S. dollars and please allow 7-10 business days for checks to clear. If purchasing by PayPal use the e-mail address moon-audio@earthlink.net to send your payment. Except for special sale items we don't charge any extra fees for using PayPal for Selah Audio Speakers. North Carolina residents please add 6.75% for state sales tax.

All assembled speakers are built to order and delivery times can vary according to our shop schedule. The average time is 6-8 weeks (10-12 weeks for line arrays) and you'll be given an estimate at the time of your order. Kits usually ship within 5-7 business days upon receipt of your order. We operate this way in order to offer you the best prices and a wide variety of finish options for assembled speakers.

We realize that purchasing a product without listening to it beforehand involves some risk. For that reason all of our assembled standard designs include a 45-day money-back guarantee. If the speakers don't meet or exceed your expectations simply contact us for a return authorization. All we ask is that you return the speakers (freight prepaid) in new condition with the original packaging; otherwise, a restocking charge will apply. Once your return is examined and passes inspection we will issue a full refund of your initial purchase.

Warranty (Assembled Speakers)

All assembled speakers have a one-year warranty on parts and workmanship. Line array systems are repaired on-site within the warranty period. For systems other than line arrays service will be provided by a local authorized repair center at their site or you may return the speaker to us for repair. Before you ship back the speaker please contact us so we can troubleshoot the problem and if needed issue a return authorization. When shipping your speakers please be careful to use the original packing material; however, if you don’t have the factory-supplied packaging please contact us so we can advise you on the best way to package and ship them. Customers are responsible for any freight charges to the repair center and Selah Audio pays for the return freight.

The warranty excludes abuse (burnt voice coils), accidental damage (such as tweeters poked in by your toddler), and cosmetic damage (scratched cabinets,etc.). Unauthorized modifications to drivers or crossovers will void the warranty.
