Silver Dragon Interconnect V2 NEW!!
The Silver Dragon has been redesigned for 2008. The Version 1 was our statement for a good many years. See reviews below. It was time to see if we could take it to the next level. The geometry has been redesigned. We are still using an 8 wire braided geometry made up of solid core 99.999% pure silver 26AWG Teflon insulated wire, but we have modified the braiding and have added an external shield to the mix. The Braided geometry itself acts as a noise rejection barrier but we thought we would also add an iron curtain. More and more of our customers are using our cables on PC High-Fi systems and Pro Studios where noise is an issue. Thus the reason for the added protection. The shield also adds more durability to the cable for runs on a studio floor. It was time for a connector upgrade as well. We played and tested a ton of options and came down to the new WBT Nextgen WBT 0102Ag. It is simply the best male RCA we have ever used. Above all other Male RCAs it sounded the richest. Very clean. No Smear that some connectors can ad. We then searched out the best XLR. Once again we found a hands down winner. The Furutech FP-601 in rhodium finish. There is nothing better,

Customer Comments on the Silver Dragon:
Drew, the interconnects sound great. The cables replaced a pair of Kimber Silverstreaks with WBT connectors. Right off the bat the sound was much more relaxed, open at the top and bass was more extended and detailed. At first, vocals were a bit harsh and had a bit of an echo, but the cables are still breaking in and this is now beginning to smooth out. (Actually, it's been my experience that silver cables take a while to break in and I had a similar experience with my Monarchy Audio pre-amp, which is all silver cable wired). Right now, the cables are beginning to "disappear" as far as leaving a sonic signature, which is the absolute best thing a cable can do. Thanx Ray (GatoTrudy@aol.com)
Drew, the silver dragon cables continue to improve. They are GREAT! Now here is my problem: trying to describe the sound of audio equipment is similar to trying to describe the taste of wine, which people around here try to do a lot and in my opinion make fools of themselves in the process. That having been said, to me the sound has an overall improved quality. It is less harsh, more detailed, less background noise and like that. Sorry I could not come up with anything more profound; however, you may feel free to use me as a reference in the future. Thanks,Peter (pjm44@aol.com)
I was pleasantly surprised at the level of resolution that these relatively inexpensive interconnects were capable of. They replaced a set of Creative Cable Concepts 3.0M-C interconnects, which I felt had the right balance for the D/A converter to line stage run in my system. I have listened to perhaps 10 other interconnects in that position before settling on the CCCs. They had all of the frequency extension and harmonic richness of the CCC with an additional level of musical detail. Equipment used (click Here) Kevin Carter, www.K&K Audio.com
Silver Dragon Phono Din to RCA and Naim Cable Version 1
This is a new version of the Silver Dragon Phono. We are now using 4 Strands of 24Awg Solid Core Silver wire with shield and a Silver Plated Copper 26Awg drain wire. The Din used is a Cardas S Din, for right angled din add $20. The wire is soldered to the Cardas GRMO or Eichmann Silver Bullet and the Cardas Din connector with WBT silver solder. The wire is then covered in 2 layers of Techflex braid to protect the geometry integrity of the cable. The detail in the midrange is simply superb. As with all my stuff I offer a 30day money back guarantee. I recommend a 100hr break-in time, as silver takes longer to break in, but straight out of the box you will be amazed.

Black Dragon Interconnect Version 1
The Black Dragon has been designed to compliment our silver line. We had many requests from our customers who had systems where silver just wasn't an ideal fit. So we set out to make the best possible copper cable per there request. What we ended up with exceeded our wildest dreams. An extremely smooth transparent and not all together to warm cable. For years my hearing tastes have always driven me in the direction of silver. I have never quite gotten in to the sound of copper. Well that has now changed. I tried to build a cable that gave me the great detail and presence of silver but also provided me with the smooth jazzy sound of copper. The Black Dragon does just that. Only your ears can be the judge.
We went back to our old copper version of the Blue Dragon and greatly expanded on it. We took what we learned from the Silver Dragon Speaker cables. Where we developed just the right ratio of different size strandings to optimize the sound. What we ended up with was the same geometry as the Blue Dragon but with an increase size in gauge and switching from solid core copper to a special stranded geometry. The strandings are all 99.9999% high quality low crystalline structure pure copper. We continued to use Teflon coating, as it is an obvious best dielectric. We added an extra layer of noise protection. The geometry being one and then an added copper 100% shield coverage being layer two. We then cover it in a protective layer of Teckflex and solder your connector of choice. For the RCA connection option, we continued with the great success of the Cardas GRMO. But offer several other choices like the WBT 0144. The end result is amazing....

Blue Dragon Interconnect New Version 2
The Blue Dragon has been designed for the individual who wants to get as close to the performance of the Silver Dragon as possible but on a budget. I am once again using one of the best connectors made, the Cardas GRMO connector as the base connector but also now with the WBT Nextgen option as used with the Silver Dragon. The Cardas GRMO RCA connector is made of non magnetic, eutectic Brass, Rhodium over Silver plate, with a gold plated Brass cover. The WBT Nextgen WBT 0102Ag is a pure silver based center pin and ground plane. It is the cleanest sounding connector I have heard to date.
We have chosen, as the heart and soul of this interconnect, a 4 wire braided geometry made up of solid 99.99% pure silver 24AWG Teflon insulated wire. The new geometry has been tweaked and is now shielded with a 100% coverage braid. The wire is soldered to the connector with Cardas silver solder. The wire is then covered in 2 layers of Techflex braid to protect the geometry integrity of the cable. As with all our stuff we offer a 30day money back guarantee. We recommend a 100hr break-in time for the silver and about a 40hr break-in for the copper. Cardas GRMO RCA Version WBT Nextgen RCA Version
Blue Dragon Interconnect for Naim Equipment Version 2
This is the new Blue Dragon Interconnect for Naim Gear to satisfy our friends in need of a high resolution Copper version of our popular Silver Dragon Naim Interconnect.
This cable been designed to match the Silver Dragon Naim cable but with a copper conductors. It has the same geometry structure as the Silver Dragon Version 2 only it uses UP-OCC pure copper.
The cable uses a 4 99.999% pure copper 24AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors.
Each conductor is made up of a special varying size stranding geometry.
The conductors are then surrounded by cotton and then a layer of Teflon tape.
The new version is now also shielded and placed in a polyethylene jacket for further protection.
The wire is soldered to the connectors with Cardas silver solder. The default RCA is the Cardas GRCN. There are numerous other connection options.
The wire is then covered in 1 layer of black Techflex braid. The black over blue jacket give it a dark blue color.
The cable is extremely smooth sounding with great low end and wonderful voicing.
As with all our stuff We offer a 30day money back guarantee. We recommend a 100hr break-in time.
SILVER SONIC BL-1 cable is made of high purity silver, Teflon and oxygen-free copper. SILVER SONIC BL-1 is a balanced cable. It is 100% shielded, and can operate in close proximity to digital equipment without noise pick up. The conductors consist of slow drawn oxygen free copper, which are coated with pure silver, the silver coating thickness being chosen to provide optimum synergy with the OFC base metal. The conductors are insulated with a special Teflon copolymer dielectric. Silver Sonic BL-1 uses large 20 gauge conductors for low signal loss. The RCA connectors I use are the Cardas GRCM. They are silver platted with a rhodium splash for hardness/protection. Using similar platting to the cable is very important in my opinion. Different metals sound different. The goal is to carry the same sound through out. Other connectors are also available. The connectors are soldered to the BL-1 cable using WBT 4% silver-content solder and then the connector is treated with Caig Labs Deoxit and then by ProGold Conditioning Treatment to provide the best contact possible.
