The HD290 boasts a native resolution of 1280 x 720, is fully DTV compatible, and will accept and display all ATSC HDTV formats including 720p and 1080i. The light output is a stunning 1000 ANSI lumens with a contrast ratio of 3000:1, so your family and friends can experience the thrill of top quality digital theater in your home at any time!

What used to cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, full factory calibration is included in each HD290. An all glass 12 element lens, video processing by Pixelworks, light engine by Texas Instruments, and proprietary software by Knoll's, the HD290 has all the best features, packed into one projector!

The high-speed color wheel virtually eliminates “rainbows” and disturbing motion artifact problems. Packaged in an aesthetically pleasing chassis with a modest footprint, it can be ceiling or floor mounted.

Most movies are filmed in 2.35:1 to 2.40:1 aspect ratios (also known as Cinemascope). The HDP420 features built in scaling support to allow these images to be viewed at the highest possible resolution (30% or more higher resolution than a 1080p plasma or direct view lcd) called anamorphic (requires anamorphic lens, available separately).
