Black Dragon Digital Cable

 

The Black Dragon is an all copper designed 75ohm digital cable and its great for either audio or video connection needs. We are  using the  Cardas SCRA connector. This male RCA connector is made of non-magnetic,  eutectic Brass,  Rhodium/Silver plate, with a gold plated Brass cover and spring loaded ground for a very tight fit. The Black Dragon can also be fitted with BNC connectors for an  extra $10 per cable. The center conductor is solid core high purity copper 18awg wire.  Wrapped around the center conductor is a FPE center core, this is the best dielectric used in the coax cable market. For shielding, the core is first wrapped in a 100% coverage  copper braided jacket that is soldered to the ground contact at both ends of the cable. Then a second shield is added with a pvc separation between first and second shield . A capacitor is added between the second shield and the ground contact at the receiving end while being soldered directly to the ground contact at the source end. The Cardas connectors are treated with Caig Labs ProGold Conditioning Treatment to provide the best contact possible.  I recommend cleaning your connectors once a year no matter what the plating of  the connector is.

 

The wire is soldered to the Cardas connector with Cardas silver solder. The Cable is then covered in 2 layers of Techflex  braid to protect the geometry integrity of the cable.  As with all of my cables, I offer a 30 day money back guarantee on standard lengths. Blue Dragon Digital Cable

 

The Blue Dragon is an all silver designed 75ohm digital cable and its great for either audio or video connection needs. We are using the  Cardas SLVR or GSMO connector. This male RCA connector is made of non-magnetic, eutectic Brass,  Silver plate, with a silver or gold plated Brass cover. The Blue Dragon can also be fitted with BNC connectors for an extra $10 per cable. The center conductor is stranded solid core Silver 22awg wire.  Wrapped around the center conductor is a Teflon jacket then a FPE center core, this is the best dielectric used in the coax cable market. For shielding, the core is first wrapped in a 100% Aluminum Mylar shield followed by a silver plated copper 100% coverage braided jacket. The outer jacket is pvc. The connector is treated with Caig Labs ProGold Conditioning Treatment to keep the silver from oxidizing and providing the best contact possible.  I recommend cleaning your connectors once a year no matter what the plating of the connector is.

DH Labs Custom Built D-75 Digital Cable

The D-75 is a precision 75 ohm coaxial digital cable designed for accurate handling of digital audio signals. The most common use for this cable is to connect the digital output of a CD transport/DVD player to an outboard Digital to Analog converter or other digital processor. Several features of this cable make it superior for both digital audio and video use. A solid silver-coated center conductor is used to maintain the most uniform impedance. This minimizes signal reflections, which is very important in digital data cables. The center conductor is encased in a foam Teflon dielectric, which has an extremely low dielectric constant of under 1.4. This provides the lowest dielectric absorption and loss. Noise rejection is maximized by a 2 Layer shield. This dual shield provides 100% coverage for complete immunity to noise. The combination of a 100% aluminum Mylar shield and a heavy braid keeps ground resistance as low as possible. The RCA connectors are Cardas GRCM silver rhodium plating.  They are soldered to the D-75 cable using WBT 4% silver-content solder and then the connector is treated with Caig Labs ProGold Conditioning Treatment to keep the gold from oxidizing and providing the best contact possible.

DH Labs Custom Built D-110 Digital Cable

The Silver Sonic D-110 is a precision 110 Ohm AES/EBU type balanced digital interface cable. 110 Ohm digital cables are most often used to carry digital audio data from A/D converters to digital tape transports in recording studios. They are also used between CD transports and D/A converters in home hi-fi systems as an alternative to the more common S/PDIF 75 Ohm coaxial interface. 110 Ohm cables are terminated with XLR connectors.
