BLO-0299 is an audiophile
quality headphone amplifier which is housed in beautiful natural wooden
box. Its compact size is excellent for desktop use. BLO-0299 can drive
balanced headphone (also two single ended headphones). Balanced
headphone listening provides a more natural, musical, and detailed sound
with great stereo imaging.
The BLO-0299's Integrated circuit was designed to provide great detail
and clarity. The circuit design is clearly better than even the best
discrete designs. High quality metal film resistors are used, no
electrolytic capacitors are in the signal path. All passive parts are
hand selected to provide close matching and even the solder used
is high grade. BLO-0299 has achieved ultra low noise and distortion,
very flat frequency response, and great phase property. The BLO-0299 was
designed for true musical tone.

The
next step in taking your Blossom to the next Level.
Welborne's PSU Power Supply Upgrade is intended to replace the wall wart
power supply that is provided with your audio gear. There are two types
of wall warts. The first type is an AC-to-AC voltage converter which
drops the house level AC voltage (115V or 230V) down to a usable level.
This is just an external power 'transformer' which means the actual
power supply is inside of the audio unit. If this is what you have - we
can't help you.
The second type of wall wart is an AC-to-DC voltage converter. This is a
real power supply that converts the house AC voltage to a DC voltage,
for example: 5 Volts DC at 2A of current. If this is what you got - WE
CAN HELP! If your owner's manual does not specify the voltage, in most
cases it will be printed on the wall wart cover.
Welborne's upgrade design incorporates a tightly regulated linear power
supply featuring low noise Schottky rectifier diodes, low noise, low
drop-out voltage regulator chips, Ultra low impedance Nichicon
capacitors and a high-current-low-noise-split-bobbin transformer (get
it? it's designed for very low noise). Our power supply measures less
than 50 microvolts of ripple under full load resulting in very quiet
operation with plenty of reserve current for good dynamics.
Additional benefits are obtained with the use of a ceramic fuse,
Vishay/Dale 1% metal film resistors, Wima polypropylene bypass cap, and
a new heavier gauge umbilical cable between the power supply and audio
equipment. The aluminum chassis measures just: 4.25"W(108mm) x
7"D(178mm) x1.8"H(46mm) and is available in red or black anodized
finish. The AC power cord is NOT included and must be purchased
separately.
The sonic results achieved include a blacker background with excellent
low level resolution and detail, an expanded soundstage along with
deeper and tighter bass. We're confident you will hear the improvement!
